    The mecanum wheel is a type of omnidirectional wheel designed specifically for robotics. It allows the robot to move in any direction, including diagonally, without having to turn. The mecanum wheel is made up of a series of small rollers mounted at a 45 degree angle to the circumference of the wheel. These rollers allow the mecanum wheel to slide laterally and diagonally, allowing the robot to be very mobile.


    Using the mecanum wheel is especially useful in mobile robotics applications such as cleaning robots, transport robots, security robots and inspection robots. In addition, the mecanum wheel is ideal for environments with little space, as the robot can move around without the need to perform complex maneuvers.
