Dear JLCPCB,
I am using your online Impedance calculator but still have some confusion:
- My application involves a standard 2-layer PCB with 1.6mm thickness and 1 oz copper.
- I always use a ground copper pour on both sides.
- I need to design a transmission line and am unsure about the trace width I should use for 50 ohms impedance:
- For a coplanar single-ended trace with a line-to-copper distance of 30 mils, the required trace width is 83 mils.
- For a non-coplanar single-ended trace, the required trace width is 107 mils.
