[June 5, 2026] – JLC3DP officially announces that its popular FDM material, previously known as PLA Plastic, has been renamed to PLA-P Plastic.
This update is a naming adjustment only. The material formulation, mechanical properties, pricing, available colors, and lead times remain unchanged.
Customers can continue ordering PLA-P Plastic with confidence, as only the name has changed while the material, performance, pricing, and lead times remain unchanged.
Why the Name Change?
To improve naming consistency across the JLC3DP material portfolio and prepare for the launch of additional PLA options, PLA Plastic has been renamed PLA-P Plastic.
The "P" represents Standard PLA, while the upcoming PLA-C Plastic series will represent Color PLA. This naming structure helps customers more easily identify different PLA material options as our FDM material lineup continues to expand.
